I use a 3rd hand to hold my doll during drying and basic wigging techniques.  Step 1 - glue a strip down middle of doll, when dry flip front over top to back. Step 2 - twist excess hair into a bun and glue on nape of neck.

Step 3 - curl 6 small sausage curls on size 5 knitting needle.  Glue on vertically (3 each side) of head.  Bring each curl back and glue edges under bun.

This is just the basic decoration so you can see the hair.  You could add tiny gold beads to soften the size of the pearls and make them blend into hair.
